Store-bought granola often comes loaded with refined sugars, unhealthy oils, and preservatives, but making your own at home lets you control the ingredients while keeping it simple and nourishing.
This homemade oat granola is lightly sweetened, free from hydrogenated oils, and made with wholesome, natural ingredients. It’s perfectly crunchy, full of texture, and versatile enough to enjoy with yogurt, milk, smoothie bowls, or as a snack on its own. Plus, it’s easy to make in batches, so you always have a healthy, ready-to-go option on hand!
Ingredients
- 1/2 c Organic Non Glyphosate Granola
- 1tbsp Coconut oil
- 1/2 tbsp Raw Honey
- 1/2 tsp Organic Vanilla Extract
- A pinch of Redmond Real Salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven – Set your oven to 320°F (160°C) convection.
- Melt the coconut oil – In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the coconut oil until liquid.
- Combine wet ingredients – Remove from heat and stir in the honey and vanilla extract until well mixed.
- Mix with oats – In a large bowl, add the rolled oats (and cinnamon, if using). Pour the warm coconut oil mixture over the oats and stir until evenly coated.
- Bake – Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, stir to ensure even toasting, and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
- Cool before serving – Once golden brown, remove from the oven and let it cool completely to crisp up.
- Serve & enjoy! – You can serve the granola with yogurt, milk, smoothie bowl, or any way you prefer!
Tips & Notes:
- When using an iron pan, check in frequently to prevent the granola from burning. When I baked at 350℉, it was way too high of heat. A darker pan cooks faster, so keep the heat low and bake slow & steady!
Storage:
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
